GEAR UP for Summer Virtual 5k

The GEAR Up For Summer 5k is a local and virtual 5k organized by three Mount St. Mary Academy students in the Academy Scholars Program, an entrepreneurship program at Mount St. Mary that gives students the chance to create and lead their own small business.

The 5K event will be run virtually over the course of three days so participants have plenty of time to run and send in their times. The proceeds from this event will go towards buying sports equipment at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo John F. Beecher Gym. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo is to provide a safe and stable experience that assures success is within reach of all their members - that they graduate from high school with plans for their future and that they are living a healthy lifestyle.

Run is from June 4-6, to register for this virtual race, click button below.

Early Bird tickets are $25 if you register by May 15th AND the first 200 people to sign up will get a free swag bag!

Track your run with any running app or running watch with GPS. Some free running apps include: Strava, MapMyRun, and Nike+ Run Club. Submit a screenshot of the run to [email protected] for the run to be recorded.

Thank you for supporting our event and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo! If you have any questions or would like to donate/sponsor this event, please reach out to: Claire Ginnane ([email protected]), Alexa Persico ([email protected]), or Natalie Hesch ([email protected])
