SMART Moves

This program is a prevention/education program that addresses the related problems of drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity. Based on proven prevention techniques, the program uses a team approach involving Club staff, parents and community representatives.

Street SMART

Designed to counteract the negative lure of gangs, violence and "street", influences for young adolescents, this program is designed to help members develop a greater awareness of conflict and its resolution.

SMART Girls

Focuses on helping girls, ages 10-15 to develop healthy attitudes and lifestyles. Smart Girls offers young women skills in nutrition, developing healthy habits, communication skills and appreciation of themselves.

Passport to Manhood

Promotes and teaches responsibility for male Club members ages 11-14. Passport addresses the passage from boyhood to manhood and enables them to understand and manage a variety of issues and transitions.

Kids Café

Provides a well balanced meal on a daily basis to any member within the Club. It improves knowledge of nutrition, proper food handling and food preparation and storage. This program is designed in the formal setting of a job. Youth apply for a position and receive a paycheck in Club dollars. Youth gain knowledge in the areas of social skills, etiquette, manners, patience and improve their communication, writing and math skills.

Healthy Kids Make Right Choices

Implements numerous Health & Life Skills Programs. These programs consist of Nutrition Education, Healthy Exercise & Lifestyles, Parent & Family Workshops and participation in Health Fairs. The focus of this program is to encourage parents and children to develop healthy habits that will stay with them for a lifetime. (Sponsored by Healthnow NY and Rite Aid Foundation)
