Evening Reporting Center

An Evening Reporting Center is a specialized program for youth on probation. ERC youth complete an intensive 90 day program in lieu of possible probation violation and/or placement. During the first 30 days of the program, ERC youth are kept completely separated from the Clubhouse population. Specialized staff is hired to supervise and implement ERC programming. Youth complete programming which cover the following areas:

  • Job Readiness
  • Violence & Gangs
  • Computer skills
  • Homework help
  • Peer pressure
  • Art therapy
  • Goal setting
  • Biases and stereotypes

Once a youth enters his/her second 30 day period, depending on behavior, the youth will begin to participate in Clubhouse teen activities. The goal is to slowly integrate the youth into the Clubhouse population. The third 30 day period hopefully is spent completely in the Clubhouse teen population. The Prevention Specialist begins working with the youth, their family, and their probation officer to put activities in place for after the youth graduates from the ERC.
