The Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo 2009 Fine Arts Exhibit kicked off on January 9, 2009 at the CEPA Art Gallery. It was an evening of record attendance for the event. The exhibit highlighted artwork that members created throughout the year through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media, and sculpture.A special edition to this year’s exhibit was wooden sculptures created with trees from the October Storm of 2006. The members explored different ways to use them as inspiration, incorporate them into multimedia pieces, and learned how to express history in their artwork.
The exhibit will be on display for the rest of January. Thank you to all who attended our opening night and supported our members! Your attendance at the exhibit encourages our members to continue to enjoy the arts!
