Supporting our Stars was the theme for the evening at our 2009 AkidEMY AWARDS and everyone came out and did just that. On Friday the red carpet rolled out for 850 guests, who enjoyed the artwork of our talented members to the sounds of Trio Payazzo at our cocktail hour.

It was an unforgettable evening, especially as our members displayed their talents. Our guests were treated to performances of “God Bless America”, “A Hard Knock Life” from Annie, an award winning Drill Team, African Drumming, and even a Lion Hunt. The food was delectable and most importantly guests had a chance to meet some of the most amazing Youth this city has to offer, our members. The culmination of our evening was the announcement of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo 2009 Youth of the Year, Janiece Artis of the Masten Clubhouse. Everyone’s support will provide thousands of youth with outstanding programs and continued support to become successful adults. Thank You to all that attended, we hope to see you again next year!
