Serving as the campaign’s co-chairs are Paul & Martha Lamparelli, long time supporters of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo. The campaign’s goal this year is to raise $300,000 to support the Club’s annual operating budget. Lamparelli said, "We are proud to announce that to date, our campaign has raised $127,418 a result of some early lead gifts and gifts from 100 percent of our board members. All we need now is the rest of our community to show their support, and we will be able to reach, maybe even exceed, our goal. The cost of providing the Boys & Girls Club experience to one child for a year is about $1,200" said Lamparelli.

Thank You to Bank of America

April 14, 2011 Bank of America Employees kindly delivered almost 100 filled Easter Baskets to our Masten Clubhouse members. Bank of America Employees also participated in our Money Matters programming where members were able to ask questions and learn about how to use their money wisely. It is because of generous companies such as Bank of America we are able to make a difference in the lives of children. Thank you Bank of America!

The above poster was designed, completed, and individually signed by the Masten Clubhouse Members to express their gratitude.

Congratulations to our Eggertsville "Eggheads" Torch Club

Boys & Girls Clubs of America has joined forces with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to help members and others in the community make a difference in the fight against global warming.
Through this partnership, ALL National Clubs had the opportunity to collect signed Energy Star pledge cards in an effort to "Change the World" by taking small steps to save energy. Signed pledges were then submited  to our National office in Atlanta, GA.
We are pleased to announce that our "Eggheads" Torch Club at the Eggertsville Youth & Community Center, Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo collected 1,231 pledges!!!!!
Because of their hard work, they were the winning recipients of a 46' LCD Flat Screen TV furnished by Samsung Electronics America.  They are enjoying  their TV room and are playing Jeopardy in style!
Thank You for Pledging.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo is proud to announce our 2011 Northeast Regional Winner: Brianna Welch

The Northeast Regional Fine Arts Exhibit was housed at the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club in Southport Connecticut.  "We at Wakeman were so privileged to house the work of such talented young artists. We had 632 pieces of artwork submitted from 47 Boys & Girls Club in the Northeast Region. With the help of a neighboring library, we were able to host the exhibit over the weekend of March 19th where we welcomed Boys & Girls Clubs in Connecticut, the Northeast Region and the public to come and view the works of our young artists. There truly are some amazing pieces that were submitted.  I do not envy the judges at the National level who are given the task of selecting the 2011 National Fine Art Winners" Marie Cimina, Wakeman BGC Keystone adviser.

2011 Hockey Program A Success!

Throughout the years we have watched this program grow and succeed, and every year it is different. One thing that has never changed is the dedication of our volunteers. It is their love of the game and passion for helping our kids succeed that truly makes this a rewarding experience. Our members look forward to this program every year, and we have been fortunate enough to partner with the Variety Club of Buffalo to make this program outstanding. Their support is an integral part of our hockey season.

About Us
Our Mission is to provide appropriate and diversified programs and activities that serve to attract and hold area youth to the Clubhouse. We provide environments that teach children the skills needed to build positive lives, attitudes, and behaviors.

Since 1926, Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo has been in the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances. We have actively sought to enrich the lives of girls and boys whom other youth agencies failed to reach and we are dedicated to ensuring that our community's disadvantaged youngsters have greater access to quality programs and services that will enhance their lives and shape their futures.

Today, Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo serves 7,000 youth between the ages of 6-18. We are not only a place where youth can come and hang out after school, but a safe haven that allows them to develop into young adults with the necessary skills and sense of self to succeed outside of our buildings.
